Position Summary:
The Gym Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operation of Uplift Strength Center. This role is the primary point of contact for members and prospective members, and works closely with personal trainers to keep scheduling, communication, and the overall member experience running smoothly. The ideal candidate is organized, personable, and comfortable balancing front-of-house relationship building with behind-the-scenes operational management.

Key Responsibilities:
Member Relations & Communication:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for current members, answering questions and resolving concerns promptly.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with members to support retention and satisfaction.
  • Communicate studio updates, schedule changes, and promotions to members in a timely, professional manner.
  • Handle member feedback and escalate issues as needed.

Member Acquisition & Outreach:
  • Reach out to prospective members and follow up on leads and inquiries.
  • Conduct studio tours and introductory consultations for new prospects.
  • Support local marketing and community outreach efforts to grow membership.
  • Track and report on lead conversion and outreach activity.

Day-to-Day Operations:
  • Oversee daily opening/closing procedures and ensure the facility is clean, organized, and well-maintained.
  • Manage member sign-ups, billing inquiries, and account updates.
  • Order and track supplies and equipment needs.
  • Ensure studio policies and procedures are followed consistently.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as record-keeping and basic reporting to ownership.

Trainer Coordination:
  • Communicate regularly with personal trainers regarding session schedules and availability.
  • Coordinate scheduling to ensure adequate trainer coverage and minimize conflicts.
  • Relay member needs and feedback to trainers as appropriate.
  • Help onboard new trainers to studio systems and expectations.

Qualifications:
  • 1+ years of experience in a customer-facing management or coordinator role (gym/fitness industry experience a plus, not required).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple schedules and priorities at once.
  • Comfortable with basic scheduling, CRM, or gym management software (e.g., Mindbody, Glofox, or similar).
  • Sales or outreach experience preferred.
  • Reliable, professional, and able to work independently.

Work Schedule:
Part-time, salaried position. Hours generally align with studio operating hours and may include some early mornings, evenings, or weekend coverage depending on member and trainer schedules. Specific hours to be confirmed with the hiring manager.
